Ownership Change

Please confirm with your customer that the new owner does not have any active .co.jp domain name before you submit a request since a company is allowed to register only one .co.jp domain name according to JP registration regulations.

Ownership change requests for .co.jp domains can not be submitted via domain management tool and it is necessary for you to contact support by email and ask for assistance.

For .co.jp domain's ownership change, following documents are required. Please note that they are minimum requirements, so it is also possible that JP Registry may ask us later to submit additional documents
depending on conditions.

1) Fill out the Ownership change E-mail form and send it back to us by e-mail. If you send us the form in PDF format, you must send us the information in text format, too.  

2) Print out the Postal mail form, have it filled-out and stamped with the seals of both current and new registrant companies.

*The seals must be the ones which have been registered at Legal Affairs Bureaus.
*Please send us the completed form by postal mail.

3) Send us seal registration certificates called "Inkantouroku Shoumeisho" in Japanese of both seals used on the form stated above.

*The documents must have been issued within the last three months to be valid.
*Photo-copied documents are not acceptable.
*Send us the form (2) and the documents (3) by postal mail to following address:

4) Send us Toukibo Touhon (Articles of Incorporation) of the new registrant company.
