New Registration

To be eligible to register a .co.jp domain name, applicant must be a company registered under Japanese commercial law. A company is allowed to register only one .co.jp domain name unless it meets the very special conditions specified by the registry. Before you submit a request, please ask your customer whether they do not have any active .co.jp domain name.

You can not submit a .co.jp domain name registration request via the domain management tool. Please use the application form and send us all the required information of the registrant company, administrative contact and technical contact in text format along with an up-to-date company document.

Yes. A company document called either "Genzaijiko Zenbushoumeisho" or "Rirekijko Zenbushoumeisho" in Japanese is required. Documents issued within the last twelve months may be accepted as long as the information is up-to-date. Please send us the document by email or by fax.
